  • Starts 13 Jul

This workshop explore themes of embodied connection, through listening practices, movement practices and clay sculpting. Beginning with with some simple breathing practices, seated in a circle, designed to connect us to our breath and to the space in which we’re in., continuing into guided movement. The session then moves into some vocal sounding, using the voice to create layered harmonies, and also exploring some more unusual noises that might not be experimented with so often; including the use of some instruments/sounding objects and as a group we will improvise together, thinking carefully about the space we’re in, what other people are playing, what we can hear and what the body wants to express through sound! To finish, each person creates a small clay ‘trinket’ out of air-dry clay. This would be a ‘non-functional’ clay piece, expressing gesture and physical connection to the clay. These can be painted at home if you wish to do so. This workshop is suitable for adults, all materials are included.
